58: WCC Championships Preview

In Episode 58, Adam and Matt preview the WCC Men's Basketball Championships in Las Vegas. They pick their brackets and predict a few upsets along the way. They discuss BYU's chances this weekend with or without big man Noah Hartsock. Also discussed: the bizarre happenings that may have driven Matt Carlino away from UCLA and into a Cougar uniform. Adam is then joined by Gonzaga and WCC basketball fan Will Green (@Zagacious) to discuss the historic nature of this year's conference tournament. Will also offers his view on how BYU fits into the long- and short-term plans of the WCC.  Remember to subscribe to all this awesomeness on iTunes and follow the podcast on twitter: @byu_riseshout.

57: Dick Harmon, Gonzaga and Spring Ball

In Episode 57, we welcome back Dick Harmon of the Deseret News. We talk about Matt Carlino's evolution as a freshman PG, and Dick outlines what the Cougars need to do to beat the Zags in Spokane. I also pick Dick's brain about spring football practice and the 2012 football schedule. Matt then joins me to give exceptionally bold predictions about the Gonzaga game and we again discuss whether Brandon Davies is, or is not, overrated. Buried within those discussions are fascinating ruminations on diet soda, Minnesota weather, and Wataburger. t's all available here or on iTunes (subscribe there!). 56: Bill Connelly and Greg Wrubell

In a triple-action addition of the podcast (Episode 56), Adam chats with Bill Connelly, SB Nation college football writer and RockMNation.com writer about the college football landscape. They also discuss whether being a fan of college football is compatible with being a fan of tennis. Greg Wrubell, the voice of the Cougars, returns to the podcast to help us uncover what happened to the Cougars since the crushing loss to St. Mary's and what the turnaround means for the season and the NCAA tournament. Finally, Matt and Adam talk hoops, the 2012 football schedule, and whether Matt is a guest or something else entirely. It's all available at VanquishTheFoe.com or on iTunes (subscribe there!). 55: Debating the Big Issues

In Episode 55, Adam moderates a discussion between fellow VTF writers Matt Mangum and Zach Bloxham regarding all the biggest issues facing the BYU athletic program. They start by talking about WCC officiating and whetherBrandon Davies is overrated by BYU fans. They flip flop next on conference realignment, and answer the question of whether you can trust anyone (spoiler: probably not). They finish with a discussion on who the back-up QB will be in 2012, and who the starter will be in 2013. All this and much more, including Adam's failed attempts at political humor.
