128: Greg Wrubell on Boise State and Basketball

Greg Wrubell, voice of the Cougars on KSL, returns to the podcast to talk about what we learned in the aftermath of the victory over Boise State and what that means for a hypothetical BCS run. He also tells us which hoopsters besides Matt Carlino and Tyler Haws need to step up to make this basketball season a special one.

Matt and Adam start off discussing the thrilling World Series. They finish off their basketball preview by looking at the supporting cast and making tournament predictions. Then they talk football, including BYU's chances to play in the final BCS (not good), and whether the defense has been exposed by Houston and Boise State.

The game against Houston was absolutely crazy, and Matt gives us his first-person account, including how fast Taysom Hill seems in person. Adam and Matt discuss the fallout from the Houston game, including doubts about the defense's ability to stop the deep passing game, though no doubts about the defense's ability to make big plays when they need to.

He also breaks down the BYU offense and gives updates on how much he thinks Cody Hoffman and Jamaal Williams will be involved against Utah State.

Adam and Matt bookend their portion of the podcast discussing fantasy football and the MLB playoffs. Between that, they tell what we learned about the BYU offense against Middle Tennessee, and they provide their predictions for Friday's showdown with the Aggies.
